What You'll Do:
- Lead XTEND’s business development efforts in the Defense market.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Technical Operations, and Program Managers to capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of Defense projects and drive strategic business wins.
- Identify, lead, and close high-value deals that contribute to XTEND’s expansion.
- Foster repeat business and grow relationships with our existing customers.
- Partner with senior management to execute an ambitious growth strategy.
- Forge strong industry partnerships with key players, from primes to subcontractors.
- Proactively source, respond to, and win government solicitations (RFIs, RFPs, BAAs, etc.).
- Report directly to XTEND’s CCO, contributing to our company’s future growth.
- Experienced Business Development professional, with a minimum of 15 years in BD roles, preferably with sales or program management experience
- Minimum 10 years experience in the defense industry
- Bachelor’s Degree - Must. MBA or equivalent - Advantage
- Proven track record of overachieving quotas or equivalent measure metrics
- Experienced in working in hardware and product companies
- Proven ability to meet and exceed personal and team goals & objectives
- Ability to work independently, plan workload, and deliver on commitments
- A team player who is also independent, with self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
- Experience in customer service, and operational or logistical workflows experience in managing a budget (P&L) on a business unit level
- Strong commercial sensitivity, action, logical thinking
- Willing to travel (around 50%)
