XTEND, is on a mission to increase the combat effectiveness of remote operators by developing remotely actable multi-robot missions. We revolutionize military operations and ensure the safety of fighters through advanced technology. We are seeking a highly motivated and results oriented Program Manager to oversee planning, execution, and delivery in the US Department of Defense (DoD) market.
The Program Manager will ensure adherence to project goals, timelines, and compliance standards. The role involves close collaboration with internal teams and external clients, including government agencies, while managing multidisciplinary programs and government contracts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new and ongoing drone programs from kick-off to delivery, ensuring timely, on-budget completion and compliance with client and government requirements.
- Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring alignment on expectations and maintaining high satisfaction levels.
- Lead internal teams to resolve issues and deliver successful program outcomes.
- Define project scope, timelines, and tasks. Lead reviews and adjust plans to ensure smooth execution.
- Lead contract preparation, negotiation, and execution, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Oversee the integration of mechanics, electronics, software, and algorithms across engineering teams.
- Identify and address risks and obstacles to maintain program progress and budget.
- Provide regular updates on program status to leadership and stakeholders.
- Contribute to process and tool improvements for better program delivery.
- 3-5 years managing complex, multidisciplinary programs (mechanics, electronics, software).
- Experience with government contracts and/or drone/UAS programs is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a matrix environment.
- Proficient in project management tools (JIRA, MS Project).
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to manage resources and meet deadlines and budgets.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field.
- Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., PMP, DAWIA) preferred.
